I’m always looking for a one-stop shop that will do just about everything I need in a web design company. I’ve covered the topic of one-stops before, but I’ve found a great site that truly does cover it all. From ecommerce solutions to crm software, and of course SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and web design.

One thing I personally look for in a company such as SiteDesign.net (the one-stop shop I’ll be writing about here) is if their site uses valid W3C markup. You know me and web standards! And guess what? The site, SiteDesign.net, is valid markup – and not to mention very Web 2.0 looking.

And for all of you SEM (Search Engine Marketers) professionals, more of their services include web hosting and branding and logo design. Just check out their portfolio to view some great examples of what they can do for your company. Even if you are a site owner that offers such services yourself, just think of what a partnership can do for your business. Just think of the outsourcing you can do with them, and how their quality work will speak volumes to your customers.

Their site even offers you some very useful guides, that you can download or read online that pertain to such topics as (web design birmingham), “Promoting Your Website”, and “What Is Search Engine Optimisation”.

All in all, I rate them very highly for both their quality work and their competitive prices, and would readily recommend them to you.

And if I may, let me shorten your search for your new design company. You see, Seattle based Visualscope Studios is that professional web design and consulting outfit. They specialize in web site design, search engine optimization, and e-commerce projects.

Even if you are not in the market for a firm to create or modify your current web site, VisualScope offers great web design articles for you to study at your leisure.

As a web designer, I am always looking for fresh ideas. As an SEO, I am also always looking for a great place to obtain a relevant backlink. Well, I’ve found both at StylishWebDesign.us, where you can get them to create you a custom design, as well as a link back in their great design directory.

I remember once someone asked why I, as a designer, would link to, and post about, another shop that does web design. Well, firstly, I only link out to quality sites that I find would be a benefit for my readers. Secondly, I would not mind getting a cool design from them myself. Their main site has a beautiful – and valid – design that is pleasing to the eye.

Anyway, try them out, and let me know what you think.

I just got 20MB download and 2MB upload speeds from my new broadband carrier. Yes, I’ve heard of the horror stories about Comcast, but I got such a killer deal on their high speed internet and phone service, that I had to jump on it. I actually pay less that I did for simple long distance now!

Anyway, the need for speed I feel caused me to think about designing web pages, and how so many designers do not think about what their designs will cost the end user. Yes, I have killer fast broadband, but does that mean I can now craft my sites to use high definition flash movie files? Should I now post 4MB high resolution images? No. And why? Because I would be discriminating against dial-up users.

I know that my stand is seen as a bit over the top, but since I have been discriminated against at points in my life, I refuse to do so to others. That’s what Jesus says also!
