Blogging About Web Design

If you are a web designer like me, you find that you spend allot of your time researching web sites that are niched in web design. I actually seek out sites that not only are service oriented companies, but ones that also have a web design blog for the latest in design information and news that I can participate in via comments. I love to give back to the web design community.
Stylish Blog
Stylish Web Design’s design blog fits that bill to a tee. They also offer custom web design services for you to use on your own existing sites, or you can have them make you a brand spanking new one. As far as their blog is concerned, I have been reading many of their posts, and all of them so far have exceeded my expectations of what I’d find. From Email marketing topics, to “scent designing”, to “daylighting design”. Very up-to-date topics very well written. I especially like that latter posting on “daylighting design”. Here’s a snip of their post for you all:

Daylighting design refers to the evaluation of a building site location, building orientation, shape, configuration, and physical design in order to maximize the functional performance characteristics of sunlight. & Lighting product design refers to the aesthetic and technological development of lighting system components for decorative or architectural application within built environments.

The Stylish Blog’s designers have come up with a great “theme” for their own site, and judging by their portfolio, they are very talented when it comes to designs. Almost valid XHTML 1.0 Transitional pages (smallish issues such as a non-closed meta tag) are pretty semantic in their use of the markup tags.
